Gunditjmara Elder Frances Gallagher has an unwavering commitment to social justice and has worked in many roles to make a difference in people’s lives in whatever way she can.

Today, Frances maintains her indomitable spirit, calling out injustice, discrimination and paternalism when she sees them. Acutely aware throughout her life of the limitations imposed on Aboriginal people by discriminatory practices, she continues to walk with dignity and a sensitive, compassionate heart, still striving to make a difference wherever she can.
